A cryptic treasure hunt leading fans to an immersive experience in the upside down.
This campaign had everything: traditional authentic 80s posters, cryptic clues, spooky answerphone messages, a 17m rotting tunnel, immersive theatre, and free pizza.
Clues hidden in posters had to be pieced together to locate where the rift was opening.
Once they found the rift, fans were able to explore the upside down, with every last detail perfectly matched to the show, down to the smells. For those that survived, there was a limited edition pizza as a reward and a lifetime of therapy.

We worked with Yard Sale pizza to design a pizza from scratch for the experience. We wanted it to taste as good on the internet as in real life, which led to this amazing design based on the head of a Demogorgon, fittingly called The Demogorgonzola: an iconic, horrifying and delicious treat. We gave away more than a thousand.
