The Telly Ad You Can Drink | Camden Town Brewery
Camden Town Brewery’s ‘Fresh as Hells’ campaign launched ‘The Telly Ad You Can Drink’. We collaborated with director James Papper, and the amazing illustrators Guy Field, Bridget Meyne, Sophie Koko Gate and José Fatkinson to bring the brewery to life in full animation. We used the cutting edge technology of 'Q-R-codes' (featured in Wired magazine 2007) and several trucks to deliver lager straight to the doors of beer lovers around the UK.
There were 90,000 cans of Camden Hells lager up for grabs through telly ads that ran during the UEFA Champions League Semi-Finals and Final and two weekends on Channel 4. Lucky viewers got their hands not only on beer, but a collector’s edition limited run uniquely bespoke custom packaging box.
Did you know Camden Town Brewery never pasteurise their beer? What do you mean you don’t care? Sounds like you need some pasteurisation information.
In a week we created Pasteurgeddon, an arcade game that is that is not only extremely educational but also mildly fun.
Check it out at the following real link that’s actually printed on the packaging for people to meticulously type out:

We also created a beer called 'To The Pub' to help keep pubs pouring through 2020. Proceeds from every can sold go directly to making more beer, which is then given to pubs as free kegs. It works out as 260,000 free pints to support local boozers across the country.
